About me
- Hi! I am Lu Yin (尹鹿), a researcher and entrepreneur living in San Diego, California.
- I was a researcher at the University of California San Diego (UCSD) where I obtained my B.S. in Chemical Engineering and Ph.D. in Nanoengineering. My research area focused on electrochemistry and material science, and their application in wearable electronics and biosensors. Under the world-renowned analytical chemist Prof. Joseph Wang, I published over 40 research papers in high-impact journals.
- I participated in many entrepreneurship programs and activities since my early college days, which helped shape my goal of developing translational technologies that are not only novel but practical.
- I worked primarily on industry-funded applied/translational research projects with hard tech companies (Honda, Qualcomm, Riot Energy/ZPower, MaXentric Technologies, etc.), which resulted in numerous patents, most of which were licensed to develop innovative products.
- Currently, I am the founder and CEO of Persperion Diagnostics, a San Diego-based MedTech startup that works on non-invasive sensors for measuring biomarker levels from natural fingertip perspiration (your fingerprints).
